Vijaypur,September 11 (KIP)- The contesting candidate of the Apni Party for Vijaypur Assembly Constituency, S. Manjit Singh has criticised BJP for adopting a policy to divide society for vote bank politics.

Addressing a series of public meetings as a part of ongoing aggressive election campaign in Vijaypur Assembly Constituency, the Former Minister raised his concern over the election campaign adopted by the opponent political parties in Vijaypur to divide the voters in caste, creed, and religion.

“The voters are aware that the BJP has failed to fulfil the promises which they made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. As far as Vijaypur is considered, the development has been stalled and the unemployment ratio has increased in the last ten years,” said the Former Minister, assuring that the jobs in the industrial sector would be reserved for the local youth and no outsider will be allowed to replace them.

Asking the people to extend their support to him in the scheduled assembly elections, he said that the Apni Party will revamp the development in Vijaypur, and its villages by upgrading the road infrastructure and improving the living standard of the people.

“The developmental and welfare schemes have not been implemented on the ground, and the people have been rendered without support from the authorities because of the poor performance of the authorities which worked on the behest of BJP,” he stated.

He questioned the BJP for avoiding questions on development, growing unemployment, grab of resources by the non-locals, influence of mafia system in mining and liquor trade that has compromised the interest of the local people, who were dependent upon these trades.

As the situation has turned against the wishes of the BJP, he said that the saffron party has adopted an agenda that could trigger a division in the society.

“The politics should be based on the agenda of development, and employment in place of division in the society that would create hurdles in the progress of the nation,” he stated.

Meanwhile, he also educated people about the equitable developmental policy, welfare schemes and other agenda of the party that would be implemented if the Party forms the Govt in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that he is committed to revamp the development, and bring a positive change in the lives of the people, who were left without representation by the traditional parties for their gains
