Srinagar/ New Delhi, September 12 (KIP)- Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, while campaigning in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, said that the BJP is stunned after seeing the Congress-National Conference alliance. That is why BJP is repeatedly changing the list of candidates in Jammu and Kashmir. From this it can be guessed that BJP is scared of seeing the unity of India alliance.
The Congress President was addressing a huge public meeting in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. After this he also addressed a press conference in Srinagar.
Amidst the huge crowd gathered in the public meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge alleged that corruption is taking place under the Governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir. Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik said that instead of investigating the people whom he accused of corruption worth hundreds of crores, government agencies are raiding his house under dictatorial orders. This was said by Satyapal Malik, who was made the Governor by the BJP itself.
The Congress President said, BJP is trying to divide the people here in the name of religion, but it will never succeed. The Congress government had brought the Food Security Bill. Earlier 11 kg rice was available in Jammu and Kashmir, today only five kg is available. This shows who is the sympathizer of the poor. This is the difference between Congress and BJP. A market was going to be built in this area of Anantnag ten years ago, which was also inaugurated. But, it remained the same under Modi government. No one is going to see this. He further said that unemployment and inflation are increasing in Jammu and Kashmir, there are problems of many things including electricity and water.
Attacking the central government over terrorist attacks, Kharge said, today attacks are taking place everywhere in Jammu and Kashmir, yet Prime Minister Modi does not shy away from telling lies. Because he is the lord of lies. Narendra Modi had said that everyone will be given Rs 15 lakh each. Will provide two crore jobs every year. Will bring back black money from abroad. But they did nothing, just misled people.
The Congress President further said that the Modi government is running on the strength of TDP and Nitish Kumar. Earlier Narendra Modi used to speak more than 400 seats, but BJP got only 240 seats. If India Alliance had got only 20 more seats, the corrupt people sitting in the government would have gone to jail.
Kharge reiterated the promise that Congress will ensure statehood for Jammu and Kashmir. Along with the Assembly, the Legislative Council will also be restored. Every effort will be made for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits. Enumerating Congress's guarantees for Jammu and Kashmir, Kharge said that if the Congress-National Conference coalition government is formed, the female head of the family will be given Rs 3,000 every month. One lakh vacant government posts will be filled. Every member of the family will get 11 kg rice. Health insurance of Rs 25 lakh will be given. Women involved in self-help groups will get an interest-free loan of Rs 5 lakh. Thousands of government schools have been closed here, they will be reopened. As soon as the coalition government comes, the focus will be on tourism, production, jobs and education.
