Glowing tribute paid to Kashyap Bandhu on 39th Nirvan Divas

Jammu, December 18 (KIP)- The 39th death anniversary of Kashyap Bandhu (Tara Chand Bulbul) was observed at Jammu. Rich tributes were paid to freedom fighter, veteran KP leader and a great social reformer Pandit Kashyap Bandhu on his 39th death anniversary at a function organised by JK Kashyap Bandhu Committee under the chairmanship of Shri Ravi ji in Jammu on Wedenesday.
The speakers on the occasion recalled the contribution of this great leader towards the upliftment of the community when the Kashmiri Pandits were passing through a very lean phase in the social as well as political march way back during 1931 –1948.
They also recalled the positive aspect of Bandhuji’s leadership role in galvanizing the community’s political aspirations and emancipation of Kashmiri Pandit women. The change in the dress of Pandit ladies, re-marriage of widows, educating the girl child and her shoulder-to-shoulder participation in social progress was especially emphasized by women speakers.
They praised the contribution of this dynamic leader in giving voice to the feeling of the community through establishment of Martand.
Describing him a towering personality they said Bhanduji was a secularist by core who worked for fostering of bonds between the different communities in the State.
