Congress holds strong protest over disrespectful remarks against Dr.B.R.Ambedkar
demands Home Minister’s resignation, apology

Srinagar, December 19 (KIP)-The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Thursday held strong protests in various districts in Kashmir province and demanded resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah and apology for his disrespectful remarks against Dr.B.R. Ambedkar.
The District Congress Committee Presidents led the protests in their respective districts amid raising slogans against Home Minister Amit Shah and the BJP for attempting to undermine the Indian Constitution. While terming the Constitution a protection of rights, justice and equality to every section of the people living in the country.
Srinagar District Congress Committee President Irfan Naqib led the protest in Srinagar in which Mahila President Shameema Raina, DCC Pulwam President Umer Jaan, Dr.Audil Mir, Mahila District President Nargis & various other leaders participated and tried to march towards M.A. Road, but the heavy contingent of police did not allow them to move out of the Office premises.
The protesting Congress Leaders and workers raised slogan against Home Minister and demanded his resignation and apology for hurting public sentiments by making disrespectful remarks against the father of the Constitution, whose courage and great contributions towards Nation building and protection of public rights shall always be remembered and respected, Irfan Naqib said, adding that the life of Baba Saheb shall continue to work as an inspiration for the generations to come
Zaffar Farooq Salati, Mohd Iqbal Mir, Reyaz Manhas, Javed Ahmad Mir, Bilal Ashiq Mir led similar protests in Anantnag, Shopian, Baramulla, Kupwara and other districts and vowed to continue fight against BJPs deceitful politics and its attempts to assault Constitution.
