𝐍𝐲𝐨𝐦𝐚, March 22 (KIP)-On the occasion of World Water Day, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Nyoma organized a cleanliness drive around local water bodies, including ponds and streams. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with school students, staff, and village volunteers, emphasizing the importance of maintaining clean and sustainable water sources.
During the event, the BDO addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of water conservation and the need to protect natural water resources and also raised awareness about waterborne diseases and the crucial role of hygiene in preventing them.
The initiative received enthusiastic participation from the community, reinforcing the collective responsibility towards water conservation and environmental.

A zonal-level celebration of World Water Day was successfully organized under the supervision of Ms. Sonam Dolkar, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Khaltsi.
This year's theme, "Glacier Preservation," drew enthusiastic participation from students of Government Higher Secondary School Khaltsi, as well as other high, middle, and private schools.
A painting competition was held, categorized into three groups: classes 1-5, classes 6-8, and classes 9-11. A panel of judges selected the best paintings, which have been forwarded to the Chief Education Officer for consideration of cash prizes.
