Senior Congress leaders attend last rites of martyrs

Jammu, March 29 (KIP)-Senior Congress leaders today attended the last rites of martyred policemen of Kathua encounter and paid rich tributes to them besides expressing sympathies with their families.

Former MP and senior Congress leader Ch Lal Singh,Former Minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma DCC President Kathua Pankaj Dogra,Rakesh Chaudhary , Subash Bhagat,Vijay Tagotra attended last rites of Jaswant Singh at Londi,Kathua.They paid rich tributes to the martyr and shared grief of the family members.

Chief Spokesperson JKPCC Mr Ravinder Sharma, Senior leaders Th Hari Singh Chib I/C DCC Rural and Sdr T S Tony DDC attended last rites of HC Jagbir Singh at Khour and paid rich tributes to the martyr and shared grief of the family members.

Chief Spokesperson of the party Mr Ravinder Sharma said that the sacrifices of martyrs would not go waste and our brave security forces shall take the revenge of these killings.He said terrorists & their mentors including Pakistan shall never succeed in their nefarious designs.

He said we are stand together with our forces for eliminating terrorism and asked centre government to deal more effectively with the terrorism to ensure safety and security of our jawans and citizens.

The party expressed serious concerns over the rise in terrorism in Jammu region and asked the government to strenthen the security grid besides urging people to extend full cooperation to our forces to deal with terrorism.

Former Minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma while speaking to media in Londi Hiranagar said that the border residents of Kathua - Samba are living in fear due to escalation of cross border terrorism and increased infiltration.He demanded more effective measures and multiple security grid along the entire border to check increased infiltration and ensure the safety of border residents.
