CEC Tashi Gyalson Reviews Progress on Cultural Tourism Portal with Firgun Social Initiative

Leh,April 08 (KIP)-Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson chaired a meeting to review the ongoing development of a tourism promotion portal being created in collaboration with Firgun Social Initiative Foundation.
The portal is aimed at promoting and preserving cultural and sustainable tourism in Leh district. It will highlight unexplored sites, monasteries, trekking routes, village-level experiences, and cultural activities. The platform will also provide travelers with local maps, food options, homestay information, and guidance on activities in all villages under Leh district.
Representatives from Firgun shared a detailed presentation on the website, outlining its key features and modules. They informed that the development work is underway and the portal is expected to be launched soon.
A Memorandum of Understanding has already been signed with LAHDC Leh. The CEC directed the concerned teams to complete the remaining work and data integration ahead of the review meeting with all stakeholders scheduled for April 15.
The meeting was attended by AD Tourism Padma Angmo, DIO NIC Tashi Tundup, and representatives from Firgun Social Initiative Foundation including Vivek Saxena and Sharmila Ronanki.
