Jammu, April 08 (KIP)-Pawan Sharma, senior BJP leader and former state secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, has expressed his deep disappointment and concern over the recent uproar created by the National Conference, Congress, and PDP in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly against the amended Wakf Board law. As a senior BJP leader and former state secretary, Pawan Sharma firmly believes that this law was enacted through a democratic process by both houses of the country's supreme parliament and ratified by the country's honorable President, Mrs. Draupadi Murmu.
Pawan Sharma stated that the behavior of these parties is not only unconstitutional but also highly reprehensible. They are attempting to subvert the democratic process and the rule of law, which is unacceptable. The amended Wakf Board law aims to introduce much-needed reforms and transparency in the management of Wakf properties, which will ultimately benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sharma emphasized that the BJP has always been committed to the development and welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We believe that the amended Wakf Board law is a step in the right direction, and we will continue to support and implement it for the benefit of the populace.
Sharma urged the National Conference, Congress, and PDP to refrain from creating unnecessary controversy and instead work towards the development and progress of Jammu and Kashmir. BJP, as a responsible opposition, will continue to hold the government accountable for its actions and ensure that the interests of the people are protected.
Sharma reiterates that the amended Wakf Board law is a constitutional and democratic legislation that aims to bring about positive change in the lives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and urged all parties to work together towards the development and progress of the state.
He urged the people of Jammu & Kashmir not to fall prey to the divisive agenda of these opposition parties and to stand firm with the BJP's vision of development, transparency, and good governance.
The BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, remains committed to safeguarding the interests of all communities while upholding the constitutional values and integrity of the nation, said Sharma.
