2nd NCC convocation celebrated at GDC Kargil alongside counselling session for upcoming +2 students

Kargil, April 27 (KIP)- The 2nd Convocation Ceremony of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) at Government Degree College Kargil was celebrated on Saturday with great enthusiasm and pride.

Alongside the convocation, a special counselling session was organized for the upcoming +2 students of Kargil district, aimed at guiding and motivating them to join the NCC and pursue higher education.

The proceedings were conducted by Assistant Professor of Hindi, Stanzin Lhadol, who skillfully anchored the event. Lieutenant Dr. Murtaza Ali, Associate NCC Officer, extended a warm welcome to guests with traditional Khatak and delivered the welcome address. On this occasion, he also submitted a memorandum requesting additional NCC vacancies for the college.

Colonel Sweer Seth, Commanding Officer of the 2nd Ladakh Battalion, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Prof. Disket Angmo, Principal of Government Degree College Kargil, was the Guest of Honour, while Lieutenant Colonel Singram Singh attended as the Special Guest.

The event saw the active participation of 40 NCC cadets and 30 bridge course students. Colonel Seth addressed the gathering, highlighting the formation of the newly established NCC Battalion in Ladakh. He also interacted with the students, encouraging them to join the NCC and emphasizing the invaluable opportunities, discipline, and leadership skills it offers.

The program concluded with the distribution of certificates. 'B' and 'C' certificates were awarded to deserving cadets in recognition of their dedication and achievements.

Assistant Professor Stanzin Lhadol delivered the Vote of Thanks, marking the successful conclusion of the event.
