Police arrests 03 accused involved in burglary case in Kupwara
case solved; stolen property recovered

Srinagar,January 16 (KIP)-Police in Kupwara cracked a burglary case reported at Police Post Bazaar, Kupwara and arrested 03 accused persons involved in the crime.
On 10th January, information regarding a theft/burglary at Hajaj Market was received, following which an FIR was promptly registered at the concerned police station. Multiple police teams were constituted under the leadership of DySP Headquarters Shri Mubashir Niaz.
During the course of investigation, CCTV footages from various locations was collected and meticulously analysed, leading to vital clues. Based on these leads, one suspect, namely Akhter Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Mohammad Mir, resident of Drugmulla, was apprehended. On his disclosure, two more associates were arrested who have been identified as Showket Ahmad Mir, son of Ali Mohammad Mir, resident of Drugmulla and another accused (name withheld at this stage for investigative reasons).
Subsequently, stolen property involved in the burglary was recovered from their residences, including cash, cash garlands, empty garlands, dry fruits, and readymade clothes (jeans and jackets). The motorcycle used in the commission of the crime has also been seized. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the involvement of the accused in other similar cases.
