CUKashmir, SKUAST-K hold workshop

Ganderbal, February 18 (KIP)-Department of Information Technology, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir), in collaboration with the Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre, SK University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Kashmir (SKUAST-K), organized a workshop “Agritech Excellence & Innovations” under the India AI Impact Summit 2026, aligned with the theme “Economic Growth & Social Good”.

The workshop focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), sensors, and automation in agriculture and allied sectors, with special emphasis on addressing challenges related to walnut, saffron, and apple crops in Jammu and Kashmir.

In his welcome address, Sr Asst Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Najar, highlighted the importance of technology-driven innovations in strengthening the agricultural ecosystem of the region.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Abdul Rouf Khan, Asst Prof and Junior Scientist, SKUAST-K, who shared valuable insights into emerging agritech solutions and their real-world applications. The workshop witnessed active participation from students and faculty members.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Shahid Sultan and Dr. Yash Paul, with the support from Er. Afaq Alam Khan. Dr. Shahid Sultan proposed the vote of thanks. (Issued By The Public Relations Officer)
