Adijan Kulgam Set to Get Modern Library; DDC Chairman Kulgam Takes Stock of Progress

Kulgam, February 19 (KIP)-Mohammad Afzal Parray, Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Kulgam, visited Adijan Kulgam to review the progress of the ongoing construction of a public library being developed at an estimated cost of ₹10.00 lakh under his DDC Grants.

During the visit, the Chairman inspected the construction site and assessed the pace and quality of work executed so far. He interacted with the concerned officials and the executing agency, emphasizing the importance of completing the project within the stipulated timeframe while ensuring strict adherence to quality standards.

The proposed library is envisioned as a significant educational and knowledge resource centre for the local community, particularly benefiting students and youth of the area. The Chairman reiterated the need to strengthen educational infrastructure at the grassroots level and directed the authorities concerned to expedite the remaining work without compromising quality.

Local representatives and residents appreciated the initiative and expressed optimism that the facility would greatly contribute to academic growth and foster a culture of reading in the region.
