Srinagar, February 28 (KIP)-The National Institute of Technology Srinagar will host a Special Alumni Day under the banner of SANGAM 2.0 (W) – Women’s Science Conclave (WSC–2026) on March 8, 2026, coinciding with International Women’s Day. The event will be organised in hybrid mode at the Common Hall of the institute.

SANGAM 2.0 (W) is an extension of the institute’s flagship alumni initiative, SANGAM (Students Alumni Networking for Growth, Aspiration and Mentorship).

The conclave aims to provide a vibrant platform for inspiration, dialogue, and mentorship, particularly focusing on empowering women through meaningful engagement between alumni and current students.

The Women’s Science Conclave 2026 seeks to honour distinguished female alumni who have upheld and advanced the institute’s legacy across diverse professional domains. The event will also serve as a mentorship platform for nearly 1,000 female students and staff members, fostering academic growth, leadership, and innovation.

The programme will feature a joint inaugural session with eminent speakers and invited guests, followed by special sessions led by accomplished women alumni and inspiring personalities.

A panel discussion will provide insights into the journeys, challenges, and achievements of female alumni, offering guidance and motivation to aspiring students. Contributions made by alumni and other distinguished individuals will also be recognised through a formal jury process.

The initiative underscores the institute’s commitment to strengthening women empowerment and reinforcing alumni engagement as a cornerstone of institutional growth.

The registration fee for faculty members, research scholars, and students is Rs. 100. Interested participants are encouraged to register through the official portal.
