EC Tashi Inspects Tehsil Library Zanskar, Directs Early Shift to New Building

Zanskar, March 17 (KIP)-Hon'ble Executive Councilor RDD, Forest , Information and Zanskar Development Authority, LAHDC Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi today paid a surprise visit to the Tehsil Library Zanskar presently functioning from Old Hostel Building of HSS Padum to see the facilities available for the intending students.
The librarian has requested to shift the Library to newly constructed one by RDD Zanskar and provide heating facilities as well as sufficient staff, as on date only one staff, a librarian is available in Tehsil Library Zanskar.
Later, Er Tashi along with BDO Zanskar, and ZEPO Zanskar visited the newly constructed Public Library which is almost at completion stage. He directed the BDO Zanskar to process for handing over the same building of tehsil library sub-division Zanskar to Librarian Zanskar so as to operate Tehsil Library from the new building.
The EC also visited the Middle school Stara village and interacted with Teachers, SMDC members, students and parents and appreciated their role in increasing school Enrolment. The VEC members requested some important Issues related to the school and EC Tashi assured to provide all possible assistant from LAHDC. Hon’ble EC provided a computer set with printer and a Tarpaulin for the school under CCDA.
During the visit ZEO Zanskar , BDO Zanskar and OC Army Captain Ranga Abhilash were accompanied the Hon’ble EC.
