Srinagar, March 19 (KIP)-Today marks the observance of the 8th death anniversary of a fearless and veteran journalist Dr. Syed Shujaat Bukhari.He was also the founding editor of Rising Kashmir,the leading daily newspaper.

Adbi Markaz Kamraz (AMK),The cultural and literary organisation, which Dr. Bukhari once led as President, paid rich tributes, describing him as a "fearless and principled" intellectual who championed the Kashmiri language and identity.
Special prayers (Fateh Khawani) were held at his ancestral graveyard in Kreeri, Baramulla, where people from all walks of life gathered to remember his contributions to journalism and peace-building.
