CUKashmir begins Vande Mataram week celebration with paining competition

Ganderbal,March 23 (KIP)-Dean Students Welfare (DSW), Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir), Monday kick-started the celebration of Vande Mataram Week, commemorating the 150th year of the National Song, by organising an essay competition at Tulmulla.
The event witnessed active participation, with students from various departments expressing their thoughts on themes centered around national pride, the significance of Vande Mataram, and the legacy of India’s freedom struggle.
The participants showcased insight and originality, reflecting their understanding of the nation’s rich history and the values upheld by its freedom fighters. The competition not only provided a platform for intellectual engagement, but also encouraged students to connect emotionally with the spirit of patriotism.
The jury for the competitions comprised Sr Asst Profs. Dr. Ihsan Malik and Dr. Khalid Waseem.
Dean DSW, Dr. Jehirul Islam, Vande Mataram, Special Phase Campaign, Nodal Officer, Dr. Madhu Raina, Youth Welfare Officers, Dr. Himabindu, Dr. Prashant Gupta, Dr. Sumreen Geelani, Dr. Harpal Singh and Dr. Firdous Sofal were present.
