AIP Delegation Visits Kupwara Bus Stand, Assures Support to Fire Victims and Civic Improvements

Kupwara, April 10 (KIP)-On the directions of jailed Member of Parliament from Baramulla, Er Rashid, a delegation of Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) today visited the Kupwara Bus Stand to assess the situation following a recent fire incident in which five vehicles were gutted.
The delegation comprised AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi, Kupwara Constituency Incharge Firdouse Baba, Abrar Rashid (son of MP Er Rashid), District Secretary Dr Firdouse, Lolab Incharge Adv Dawood, along with party members Muneer Ahmad, Peer Azhar-u-Din, Abdul Khaliq, Syed Arshid Naqshbandi, Abas Mir, Sayeed Ahmad, Musadiq Rehman and Basharat Hussain Ganai.
Interacting with the affected vehicle owners and local stakeholders, the AIP delegation expressed solidarity with the victims and extended support, assuring that the party will continue to stand by them in this difficult time.
During the visit, several issues were raised by drivers, Bus Union and passengers, including the lack of proper sanitation facilities and poor infrastructure at the bus stand.
Taking serious note, the delegation announced that the long-pending sanitary complex will be made functional and efforts will be made for its proper maintenance and beautification.
The delegation also announced that CCTV cameras will be installed at the bus stand to enhance security, and street lights will be fixed to ensure safety during evening hours.
Reaffirming its commitment towards public welfare, AIP stated that it remains dedicated to addressing grassroots issues and will continue to act as a bridge between the people and the administration, ensuring that genuine concerns are not ignored.
