Congress delegation meets LG,discuss public issues

Jammu, June 07 (KIP)-A high level delegation of JKPCC met the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha in Lok Bhawan Jammu,last evening and discussed wide range of issues of public concern.
A detailed memorandum was also submitted by the delegation who discussed the issue of Mubarak Mandi heritage and damages to the historic temple and other parts of the heritage complex.
The delegation sought his personal visit and directions for issuance of white paper on the protected monument of dogra history and symbol.
The delegation had a detailed discussions on a host of other issues highlighted in the memorandum.
The seven member delegation led by Working President Shri Raman Bhalla, comprised of Former minister Mula Ram, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Former Legislators Ved Mahajan, Th Balbir Singh, Smt Indu Pawar and Th Manmohan Singh.
The delegation took up issues of regularization of daily wagers, need based, all temporary, adhoc,contractual employees in time bound manner and sought a central package to solve their long pending demand for regularization and end uncertainty in their career.
The delegation also listed regularization of SPOs etc,recruitment in central para forces & police etc
They also discussed the issues of farmers & demanded amnesty for pending bills of power, water and irrigation charges.
The delegation supported the campaign against drug mafia and urged for continous pressures on the menace .However the innocents should not suffer due to illegal demolitions without due process of law.
They raised the demand for early allotment of land for settlement of flood affected families whose houses were damaged due to land sinking.
The delegation alsi sought review of land policy & to regularise the occupants on state land,for decades especially more than 30 years, as per limitation Act.
They also highlighted the problems being faced by the needy people in selling their land as per family exigencies, due to restrictions imposed by government in view of damages to Masavis( Land map) and urged for relaxations and expeditious preparations of Damaged masavis ( Land maps) for smooth transactions of land.
The delegation also sought early holding of over due elections to all tiers of Panchayat Raj institutions ,as the entire funds are concentrated in few hands ,in the absence of PRIs. However the delegation suggested the fresh delimitation of MC wards and DDC constituencies on war footing for rationalisation of population.
The Congress leaders urged for a bridge on the rever to provide approach to Bhaird Devta at Nagrota ,which was washed away in last year floods. A motorised boat was also demanded for time being in the pattern of one provided by Congress to the suffering people and students community.
