Visits Baba Nagri Wangath on annual Urs

Ganderbal,June 07 (KIP)-Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, today visited Baba Nagri Wangath in Ganderbal district and paid obeisance at the revered shrine of Hazrat Mian Nizam-ud-Din Kiyanvi (RA) on the sacred occasion of the 130th Annual Urs of the revered Sufi saint.
On the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister offered prayers and sought blessings for lasting peace, prosperity, progress and communal harmony across Jammu and Kashmir. He paid rich tributes to the saint for his invaluable spiritual legacy and enduring message of love, brotherhood, tolerance and service to humanity.
The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the important role played by Sufi saints in fostering social cohesion and strengthening the centuries-old traditions of mutual respect and coexistence in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the teachings of Hazrat Mian Nizam-ud-Din Kiyanvi (RA) continue to inspire the people towards compassion, righteousness and unity.
The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA Kangan, Mian Mehar Ali while Member of Parliament, Mian Altaf Ahmad Larvi was present there.
The Deputy Chief Minister prayed for the well-being of the people and reaffirmed the government’s commitment towards preserving and promoting the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
