Two-Day ARTO Camp Concludes Successfully in Zanskar

Zanskar, June 09 (KIP)-The two-day Camp Office of ARTO Kargil concluded today at Zanskar, bringing essential services directly to the doorsteps of residents.

During the camp, the ARTO Kargil team carried out fitness inspections of both commercial and non-commercial vehicles, renewal of driving licences, issuance of permits and registrations, and driving tests for applicants of fresh driving licences. The initiative was aimed at providing convenient facilities for public in term of completing documents who face difficulties in traveling to Kargil.

On the sidelines of the camp, ARTO Kargil held a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, Zanskar, to deliberate on key transport-related issues of the newly created district and to strengthen inter-departmental coordination.

In a significant step towards road safety awareness, ARTO Kargil, in collaboration with Zanskar Degree College under the leadership of Dr. Amjad Abbasi, Principal, and Zanskar Police, organized a panel discussion on road safety. The session witnessed innovative suggestions and ideas from students and stakeholders for improving traffic management and road safety in the district.

The program was graced by Sh. Rigzin Sangdup, SP Zanskar as the Chief Guest, while Sh. Khadim Hussain, ARTO Kargil attended as the Guest of Honour. Sh. Rigzin, SHO Zanskar, also participated actively in the deliberations.

The camp was widely appreciated by the public for delivering citizen-centric services and fostering awareness on responsible driving and road safety.
