Luthra highlighted the achievements of Omar Abdullah Led Govt.

Jammu, June 15 (KIP)-Senior leader of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) former MLA and State Vice President of the Women Wing, Mrs. Bimla Luthra, criticized the BJP MLA’s for allegedly ignoring the genuine problems of the people of Jammu and failing to fulfill the promises made during the Assembly elections.



Addressing a women's workers meeting at Sheikh Nagar in Bahu Constituency, Mrs. Bimla Luthra was the chief guest. The meeting was attended by prominent party Women workers, including Joginder Kour District President Jammu Urban Women Wing, Ranjna Block President Bahu Women Wing and Baljeet Kour.



During the interaction, local residents raised several issues concerning water supply, electricity, old-age pensions, and widow pensions. Mrs. Luthra patiently listened to their grievances and assured them that she would take up these matters with the concerned ministers for prompt redressal.



Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Luthra highlighted the achievements of the Omar led Government like free public transport for women in Govt E buses, enhancement of financial assistance under the Girls marriage assistance scheme from Rs 50,000 to Rs 75000 for AAY Category, enhancement of Old age Pension/ Handicapped Pension/ Widow Pension from Rs 1000 to Rs 1500 below 80 years and Rs 2000 to aged more 8o years and above, enhancement of free ration from 5 Kg to 10 Kg per person per families of AAY etc



She reiterated that the National Conference remains dedicated to addressing public issues and ensuring the welfare and development of all sections of society.
