Sat Sharma reviews BJP social media department activities, emphasizes effective public outreach

Jammu, June 18 (KIP)-BJP Jammu & Kashmir President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA) chaired a review meeting of the party’s Social Media Department at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
BJP J&K Vice-President Rekha Mahajan, General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, Social Media Incharge Dr. Makson Tickoo, Co-Incharge Lovisha Gupta, and members of the Social Media Department participated in the meeting.
Sat Sharma, while reviewing the department’s ongoing activities, assessed the digital outreach being undertaken in connection with various organizational programmes and campaigns. He stressed the growing significance of social media as a powerful communication platform in the modern era and highlighted its role in connecting with people, particularly the youth, who increasingly rely on digital platforms for information and engagement.
Sat Sharma emphasized that social media serves as an effective two-way communication tool, enabling organizations not only to disseminate information but also to understand public sentiment and feedback regarding party programmes and policies. He said that the department must actively counter and expose misleading narratives propagated by other political parties at both the regional and national levels. He further stated that social media has become an indispensable medium for ensuring that information regarding government schemes, welfare initiatives, and development programmes reaches people directly, including those residing in the remotest areas.
Rekha Mahajan appreciated the efforts of the Social Media Department and underscored the need for greater public engagement through responsible and informative digital communication. She said that social media has emerged as an important bridge between the party and the people.
Baldev Singh Billawaria emphasized the importance of coordinated and proactive digital outreach to effectively highlight the achievements of the government and the organization. He urged the team to continue strengthening the party’s online presence.
Dr. Makson Tickoo presented a detailed report on the department’s ongoing activities, campaigns, and digital engagement initiatives being carried out across Jammu and Kashmir. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Social Media Department to effectively promote party programmes, organizational activities, and public welfare initiatives while ensuring timely dissemination of accurate information through various digital platforms.
