Satish Sharma Visits Kala Kendra, Appreciates rare Art Collection

Jammu, June 21 (KIP)- Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Transport, Science & Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports, ARI & Trainings, Satish Kumar Sharma, today visited Kala Kendra Jammu to witness 5 day Art exhibition at G R Sanosh Gallery of Kala Kendra, showcasing the remarkable works of renowned artist Shivani Kajuria.

The exhibition, being organized by Kala Kendra Jammu, featured a collection of art works that highlight the diverse and unique artistic vision of Khan.

During his visit, he toured various galleries of Kala Kendra and interacted with officials and artists. He expressed admiration for the rich artistic heritage showcased at the institution and emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting traditional and contemporary art forms for future generations.

In his welcome address, Dr. Javaid Rahi, Secretary of Kala Kendra, stated that the primary objective of today’s exhibition is to promote creativity in arts and provide a platform for artists like Shivani Khajuria to share their work with a wider audience. Kala Kendra is committed towards nurturing and celebrating the talent that contributes to our cultural richness.



Speaking on the occasion, appreciated the institution's rare collection of paintings, sculptures, and other artistic treasures preserved in its galleries.

the Minister said the painting exhibition is very impressive and emphasized the importance of art in shaping cultural identity and inspiring the future generations. “Art and creativity are essential components of our culture and I am truly impressed by the talent and expression reflected in the paintings of Shivani. Events like this not only celebrate artistic excellence but also inspire our younger generation to engage with creative pursuits, he said.

He suggested that similar exhibitions should be held in various districts to bring art closer to the people and foster cultural awareness at the grassroots level.

The exhibition was also graced by the presence of noted journalist Sunny Dua, author Shakti Singh, eminent painter Er. Mehash Sharma who shared their personal experience of being associated with artistic journey Shivani Khajouria over the years.

Shivani Khajuria expressed his gratitude to the organizers and attendees. He shared insights into his artistic process and the inspiration behind some of her key works on display. He said Art appreciation is essential for an artist’s growth and motivation. I thank everyone who came today and took the time to engage with my work,” said she stated.
