CUKashmir holds, Tiranga Rally, Plantation Drive

Ganderbal, August 12 (KIP)-Under the aegis of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) organised a Tiranga Rally and Plantation Drive, at the Tulmulla Campus here on Wednesday.

Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Shahid Rasool, Registrar, Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir, Dean School Legal Studies, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Mir, Dean School of Business Studies, Prof. Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani, Dean DSW, Dr. Jehirul Islam, faculty members, administrative staff, scholars, students participated in the event. The participants carried the Tricolour and marched across the campus, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of unity, integrity and national development.

In his message for the participants, Vice Chancellor, Prof. A Ravinder Nath, said, “The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign provides us with an opportunity to renew our commitment to the values that the Tricolour represents—unity, courage, sacrifice and inclusive national development. The Tiranga Rally and the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ plantation drive carries a message that is both patriotic and purposeful,” Prof. A Ravinder Nath added.

Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Shahid Rasool, said the initiatives such as the Tiranga Rally provide students with an opportunity to connect with the history and values of the nation while translating those values into meaningful action.

Registrar, Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir, highlighted the significance of collective participation in strengthening the spirit of national unity and said the enthusiastic response from the University community reflected its deep sense of belonging to the nation.

Dean School Legal Studies, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Mir and Dean School of Business Studies, Prof. Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani in their remarks said, “By participating in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, our students are not merely carrying the Tricolour; they are carrying forward the legacy of our freedom fighters and the vision of a strong, united and progressive India.”

The senior functionaries later planted saplings inside the campus under the banner of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’.
