Srinagar, September 28 (KIP)-Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha and CM Omar Abdullah mourns loss of lives in Karnah road accident expressed grief over the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Kupwara.
In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor wrote:
"Deeply pained by the loss of lives in an unfortunate road accident in Kupwara. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for the early recovery of the injured. I have directed the District Administration to ensure best possible treatment to the injured."
CM Omar Abdullah mourns loss of lives in Karnah road accident
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed deep grief over the tragic road accident at Semari in Karnah-Tangdhar area of Kupwara district, in which five persons lost their lives and several others were injured.
Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Chief Minister prayed for peace to the departed souls and strength to the families to bear the irreparable loss.
The Chief Minister directed the district administration and medical authorities to extend the best possible treatment and all necessary medical care to those injured in the accident.
The Chief Minister also directed the concerned authorities to ensure that all possible assistance is extended to the affected families.
CM Omar Abdullah introduces J&K Goods and Services Tax Amendment Bill, 2026
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who also holds the portfolio of Finance Minister, today introduced the Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Goods & Services Tax Act, 2017 in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly during the ongoing Autumn Session.
The Bill, designated as L.A. Bill No. 12 of 2026, has already been published in an extraordinary issue of the Official Gazette.
