Leh, October 22 (KIP)-As per the directions of the Chief Education Officer, Leh, vide Order No. CEOL/2026/3407-60 dated 17 October 2026, the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, organised a one-day orientation programme on Nanritam Holistic Progress Card (HPC) and its implementation in schools of Leh Educational Zone.
Approximately 100 teachers from the Leh Educational Zone participated in the orientation programme. The training aimed to familiarize teachers with the concept, objectives, and implementation of the Nanritam Holistic Progress Card in schools.
The Holistic Progress Card (HPC) is aligned with the guidelines of PARAKH and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It emphasises a comprehensive and holistic approach to student assessment, focusing not only on academic achievement but also on the overall development, competencies, skills, and learning progress of students.
The orientation programme provided teachers with an opportunity to understand the significance of holistic assessment and its practical implementation in classroom teaching and school-based evaluation. The initiative is expected to support teachers in adopting competency-based and learner-centred assessment practices in line with the vision of NEP 2020.
The programme reflects DIET Leh’s continued efforts towards strengthening the professional capacities of teachers and promoting meaningful educational reforms for improving the quality of school education in the Leh district.
