Director, NIELIT Ladakh, Meets Deputy Commissioner Kargil

Leh,November 06 (KIP)-Director, National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Ladakh, Shri Puntsog Toldan, held a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shri Rakesh Kumar, IAS, to discuss the progress, achievements, ongoing activities and future initiatives of NIELIT Kargil.
During the meeting, the Director briefed the Deputy Commissioner about various skill development programmes, short-term training courses, AI Courses digital literacy initiatives, and other educational and technical activities being undertaken by NIELIT Kargil for the benefit of students and youth of the region.
A key point of discussion was the upcoming Mega Job Fair Mela, proposed to be organised in December 2026 at Kargil. The event aims to provide a common platform for local youth, job seekers, employers and recruiting organisations, creating opportunities for employment, career guidance and professional development.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the initiatives and efforts of NIELIT Ladakh in promoting digital education, technical skills and employment opportunities in the region. He also discussed the importance of strengthening coordination and cooperation among various departments and stakeholders for the successful implementation of such initiatives.
The meeting concluded with a positive outlook towards further strengthening NIELIT's role in skill development, capacity building and employment generation in the Kargil district.
